As I'm more familiar with the anime than the games, I'll really only be going along with that as far as canon goes. I view him as male and he speaks with the same voice as in the original first movie. I'll be using whatever headcanons I like to make my experience writing this dude more enjoyable.I'm open to there being more than one Mewtwo and the anime supports there being more than one as well. Ash recognizes what M16 Mewtwo is without any trouble and that's cool with me. Having the two of them find out the other exists and running into one another sounds cool as heck! HMU for that interaction!

He's covered with a fine, silky coat of hair. It does him absolutely no good in truly cold temperatures. He wears that trash bag cloak of his for that reason.That's right he's not hairless and clammy!His fur is very soft. Very, very soft. Like velvet and silk combined.BUT NO TOUCHY!Mewtwo is not okay with casually being touched, especially by people he doesn't know. He's gotten a lot better about it than he was originally so he doesn't immediately teleport away now.Sleeps between 6 and 14 hours a day, alternating between insomnia, power naps and just straight up depression comas.Mewtwo goes by his species name but a human girl named Belle that he was friends with nicknamed him. He enjoys the memory and holds it close to his heart. If he tells you about the nickname and allows you to call him by it, you are dear to him. He wears a powder blue scarf around his neck. It too, is from Belle and he cherishes it.

Mewtwo has the ability to take on a human form but he loses a great deal of power by doing so. He's still not to be underestimated as a psychic and pokémon are likely able to discern what he truly is. He'll politely ask that they keep his secret for him.In his human form, he goes by the name Miato Kokan. He's a well-toned man in his early twenties that stands at 6'2" and has dark hair and a tanned, olive complexion. His eyes remain the same deep amethyst and the same general shape as his true form but they're sized to fit on a human skull. He looks distinctly Kantan and speaks with a "posh" accent that sounds distinctly curated to impress. Giovanni left an impression on him that he can't shake."Miato" tends to wear black boots, ripped or worn looking white jeans, and a light purple graphic tee with the sleeves cut off. He keeps a white jacket around as well. On his right wrist is a moon-silver band of metal.As Miato, he keeps his cherished scarf folded into a pocket or wrapped around his left wrist.
